Cold Season Already?

Where did the Summer go? Is it time for Cold Season Tea already? We've been hearing about Swine Flu since this past April (09), so perhaps it's been time for time for Cold Season Tea all Summer!

Cold Season Tea Bag In Cup

I haven't been ill, but I've been drinking Yogi Cold Season Tea every year for at least past 15 years now, usually starting when the weather begins getting cooler.

It hasn't completely kept me from getting sick every season, but it certainly has reduced how often, or how bad it can be. Besides, it has become a habit each year, a delicious one at that.Cold Season Tea In Cup

Based on the five Ayurvedic Spices from India, Yogi Cold Season Tea has a flavor that has become a part of my yearly experience. I suppose that some day I should see if I can make it an Iced Tea to substitute for some of the Iced Coffee I usually drink during the warm weather.

Then I can enjoy it all year long, not just during the cold season!

It's Finally Spring!

After starting March with a storm that gave us about 10 inches of snow, it was nice when the weather did start warming up by the end of the month.

With so many snow storms, we had a lot more sand on the front lawn than normal, so I spent the better of a day trying to sweep it off into the street to be cleaned up with the rest of the sand on the road.

As I swept the sand, I was also cleaning up leaves left over
from last fall, broken branches and trash.

I was amazed at how much sand there was. Town workers actually
cleaned the sidewalk across the street twice before they returned
with the street sweeper several days later.

It's been a few months since my last update, and even though I haven't been blogging, I have been busy online

I received my first commission payment from PepperJam, which was about $150, in February. My second payment was less than half that, but I had made the mistake of not working on my websites in January (and again in February, so I'll be paying for that with next month's payment).

In March, I finally reached payout from Amazon, which is mostly based on one of the only things I did do in January, I stopped trying to sell product from my own online store, and switched everything over to Amazon affiliate links.

I also began working on my Squidoo sites again. It was nice to see their traffic increase, after working on each one, especially the one I did about Cash Gifting Scams.

I have a lot more work to do, I did have 50 Squidoo Lenses, but 2 were built around videos which kept getting removed from YouTube, so I deleted them. When I finish going over the ones I haven't updated yet, then I'll feel more comfortable building new ones.

Besides updating my work on Squidoo, I've also starting doing freelance graphic work using GIMP. The first bits of that can be seen on GypsyOwl's 5000TH Tweet - Tribute TO YOU - #FollowFriday Lens.

Who knows, if this works out, maybe I'll find myself doing more of this kind of online freelancing, it's a very enjoyable way to make money.

AUSTRALIA'S top-selling mouthwashes can cause oral cancer and should be pulled from supermarket shelves immediately.

Leading independent experts have issued this strong warning after investigating latest scientific evidence linking alcohol-containing mouthwashes to the deadly disease.

Happy 2009!

Happy New Year!

I didn't update last week because of all the work I was doing finishing up 50 Lenses (pages) on Squidoo. The final two were Why I Love The GIMP and CleanerLife's Lenses, but I also went back and did some updating on my older Lenses.

I did get the White Christmas I was hoping for, even if it wasn't as much snow as I would have liked.

We received more snow on New Year's Eve. The snow thrower survived a snow clearing session mid-storm, but appeared to die the next morning during the final clean up. The problem was actually that the key had fallen out and landed on the ground.

Luckily, I found it while clearing snow with the shovel. Pretty funny, because it's not like it is easy to remove the key from it's slot, and it seemed pretty secure after being put back into place.

Not sure exactly where the new year will take me, but I'm looking at some pretty good money on my way from affiliate links on Squidoo. My affiliate income started looking good before I even made 50 Lenses, so I'm sure to start building more like ones generating affiliate income.

Right now, the affiliate income is looking better than any payout I'm likely to get from Squidoo itself. Of course getting a payout from Squidoo would certainly be nice.
